DRAGON QUEST 3 IS THE GREATEST GAME EVER‼️‼️‼️‼️ I simply cant begin to adequately describe this masterpiece aside from using the most insanely colorful adjectives in the English language, and even then its nearly impossible. Many months have passed since Ive embarked on a journey to conquer all of the Final Fantasy games in the App Store, all the while contemplating doing the same with the Dragon Quest series. While I was tempted, I was still very much involved with FF so I continued to put it off, but now that Ive beaten all the Final Fantasy titles many months back (aside from FF9) I was more than ready to embark on the Japanese gaming sensation that is Dragon Quest. I have already beaten the first two DQ games and while the second game was a big improvement over the first, its simply NOTHING compared to the ginormagantuan improvement that Dragon Quest 3 is over Dragon Quest two. For starters this game is, as the Donald would say, UUUUUUUUUUGE!!! Its is so much larger than the first two titles its insane! Dragon Quest 3 feels much more like a full-length massive JRPG whereas 1&2 feel more like demos by comparison. I absolutely ADORE 1&2, but nowhere near as much as I love this massive masterpiece! Ive stated before that its obvious that the DQ series will end up just like the Final Fantasy games in the sense the each one is better than the last, so at this point Im not at all surprised, and I am fully anticipating Dragon Quest 4 being even better, but nothing could have prepared me for this. There are so many wonderful things to do in this game, from the job class system (which has always been my favorite in the FF games), to the ridiculously vast array of magic spell to be acquired through experience. Not to mention the fact that there are a plethora of wonderful accessories to equip that offer a lot of different attributes and modifications. All of these things combined together deliver an incredibly deep and strategically technical battle experience! Extra curricular activities such as gambling in the underground monster arenas to collecting mini medals and exchanging them for super dope items give the game a even larger scope of things to do. Im serious when I say this game is BIG. Just when you think youre at the end, an entire other world opens up, easily adding an extra 5 to 10 hours of gameplay (and as if that werent enough theres even an extra dungeon that you unlock once you beat the game), and its that aforementioned last 10 hours that is incredibly important to the overall story line. So without spoiling the experience, all I will say is that you WILL cry. That brings me to the final boss. Again for fear of spoilers, all I will say about it is that the "true" final boss will make you run home to mommy. I know that I said the final boss in DQ2 was one of the hardest bosses Ive ever fought in my life, and while this is still very true, the final boss in DQ3 makes him look like Mickey Mouse. All in all, my journey through the massive world of DQ3 was filled with some of the very best gameplay, storytelling, strategy, and one ofthe most ridiculously bad@$$ final bosses of ALL TIME!!! I truly understand now why Dragon Quest 3 has been regarded as not only one of the best in the series, but one of the best RPGs of all time period!!!!!!!! Next stop Dragon Quest 4‼️‼️‼️‼️

Just want to say that for some reason all the town names and spell names in this version are all wrong.

Even if it is V01.0.0.0 I had no problems so far.

First off Ive been looking forward to this one out of the whole Dragon Quest series. Sadly after playing for about 10 minutes Im a tad underwhelmed. Gone are the enemy animations from the SNES remake which this is seemingly based. I honestly dont understand why these could be squeezed into a small chip on a decade old game cartridge and not on a smartphone where other games can reach up to 1 gig in space. And finishing off this you cannot even control your party. Yup thats right you arent given the option to choose who does what of your party members. Why this was done I do not know. Needless to say I wont be playing it as much as I thought I would. At least they seemed to have gotten the other ones right.

If you are like me and remember sleepless night on the NES/GBC back in the day, you wont regret it, its just like the old times ! Please square dont take too much time to release the other DQs, i love this series and really hope to get 1-8 on my phone, just like we have all the old FFs :)

Game Is great! A lot of fun only issue I have they changed the personality names of the GBC so I have no idea what each one means. Overall though Im happy with the game. To the person above change your character tactic to follow orders then you can select your characters moves. Picking your character class is a lot of fun.

This should be good. Gonna try it after the first two. :)

Love it, this is the equivalent to the America version dragon warrior:) plz add landscape mode tho

Bug in this game: if the Mage casts a spell against the enemy and that enemy has already been defeated, the spell will not work. It doesnt automatically get cast on the next enemy. This was the original behaviour of NES version, but should be fixed on the remakes. please FIX this Please release Dragon Quest VII 3DS in North America!! Quit forgetting about us!! And I love this game! Bought all of them so far.

DQIII Cons -no controller support. -no cloud saves transfer Pros -Excellent Old school console RPG gameplay. -Fantastic pixel graphics. -New translation. -Wonderful remixed music based on the symphony suit albums. -controls work very well. Buy it. This is THE Dragon Quest to own.

...is what youre really paying for. I forked over more for the FF games due to their nostalgic value and I was pleasantly surprised by the cost of DQ 1 & 2. This game is only worth the money if you played the original and were looking to recapture the feeling of them that original play through.

Why is it that such an old game seems to beat all modern games hands diwn in terms of enjoyability?

Not my favorite DQ game, per se, but s great port and an excellent iOS game.

This is the greatest of the original Dragon Quest trilogy. You can create a party from scratch (like Dragon Quest IX) and you embark on a journey to save the world from Baramos... But will that be enough?! The graphics are great and do is the music, with an overworld theme that just makes you want to keep exploring! Buy it!

Finally the final installment of the Erdick series came to us. I have played a bit and created my own character. The goddess told me that my true soul is a thug after listening to my answers to her questions. But its OK. Ill go on with my soul.

I first played Dragon Warrior 3 on the GameBoy Color when I was a young lad. Before the release of this game I never put so much time into an RPG. This game is literally the first RPG I ever completed 100%. I cannot wait to recreate my team again and adventure through this game! Thank you Square Enix for bringing it back! Now just make Dragon Quest Monsters for the iOS and my life will be complete!

Since it was released in the US as Dragon Warrior III it has been my favorite not only in the series but favorite game period. It just works. Everything is perfectly balanced and it never gets tedious like DQII did. The ability to cast Zoom and travel to ANY previous town makes it flow so much better. The game is also huge in scope and the world is memorable and varied. It is the Citizen Kane of RPGs and everything just fits together like a glove. To make it better. This is the superior SNES version with bonus dungeon and extra class. The tedious pachissi game is axed but all of the prizes are there still via a mini medal quest. You NEED to own this game.

The masterpiece comes stateside to our phones at last! I absolutely loved this game as a kid and still love it to this day. I cant wait to play through this gem again!

I 100% agree with True Guardians review! This game is phenomenal and having it on iOS as college finals are wrapping for winter break couldnt be any more ideal. all that is Missing now is for Dragon Quest Monsters To make its way to iOS. THAT game is better than any current iOS monster collecting game!

All the good memories of dq3 came flooding back. Game plays well, nice and smooth. Monster and spell animations light up the screen. All the standard dragon quest awesomeness. No landscape mode, but meh..
